Weekly Announcements

May 22 -29, 2022

Talk about exciting!!!!!  We’ll chat about the Grace Upon Grace Cooperative Parish this week!

You heard it as an announcement in worship last week and this week, we’ll unpack it a little bit more.  There is something really exciting happening in the life of Grace Church.  Beginning on July 1, Jason will be assigned as pastor to Grace Lemoyne, just like now but ALSO Grace Harrisburg!  The cooperative parish shares a pastor (Jason) and may share plenty of ministries as well!  In preparation for this change, our worship time will be adjusted to 9:30am and Grace Harrisburg will worship at 11am (Beginning Sunday, July 3).  We will take some time after the service on this Sunday to discuss this a bit further and respond to questions about this awesome new opportunity.

On Sunday, May 29 at noon, we’ll host our first ice cream pop-up event!  Come to the church parking lot at noon for some FREE ICE CREAM!  Whether you’ve called Grace Church your spiritual home for years or you just know someone who might be interested, this is a great event to eat some ice cream and meet some neighbors!  Sunday, May 29 at noon in the church parking lot!

Normally in August, we head to McCurdy Ministries in Espanola, New Mexico.  However, this year’s McCurdy trip has been cancelled once again.  However, we are SO EXCITED to announce that our summer mission trip will be to Wesley Forest, to help Wesley Forest transition from summer camp to fall retreat group host.  This means there will be PLENTY of projects for every skill level.  The trip is scheduled for August 7 through 11.  If you’d like to receive some more information about this trip, please fill out this form. Or, you may contact the chuch office.  YOU ARE NOT COMMITTING TO GOING BY FILLING OUT THE FORM!  Pricing for the trip and a detailed itinerary will be coming soon!

Grace Church!  We are so excited to be beginning a relationship with Family Promise.  Family Promise helps to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness that grips so many families.  By partnering with Family Promise, Grace Church will host families for a week once every three months (approximately).  They will stay overnight in our facility for one week and then participate in Family Promise’s program for about 90 days.

Our first hosting week will be in late July. To check out the options available to help and to sign up, please click here or contact the church office.

Every Sunday, we’re excited to host Grace Kids and Grace Minis!  Each Sunday, children may opt to leave the service immediately after the choir sings for a supervised time of lessons, crafts and fun!  In order to make this successful, we are in need of plenty of volunteers.  Please contact the church office to help!

It’s time to register for summer camp!  There are camps for almost every age group.  There are “Grandparent and Me” camps, “Mom/Dad and me” camps for the younger ones and an unlimited supply of camps at all different locations for school-age children!  Summer camp is the best!  We believe it is a wonderful part of the ministry at Grace Church.  The church will help campers get to camp by offering them a $200 scholarship for one camp!  If you have any questions at all or need a camp suggestion, please contact Michelle or Jason Schwartzman.  To register for camp, head to www.susumcamps.org.

Mark those calendars!  VBS is coming!  Every Wednesday in July!

Since you already have your phones out to mark your calendars…you might as well mark them for our church’s BLOCK PARTY to take place on Saturday, August 20.  So much more information to come, including how you can help by being on the planning team!
